Arthur

Arthur is a Puzzle Platform game project developed for the mobile platform on Adobe Flash.

 

Arthur is a treasure hunter who is searching for the legendary holy grail. He finds the grail in which he gained the power to create a clone of himself. Using this newfound power, he needs to escape the cave full of traps and obstacles with the treasure in his possession. Player will control both Arthur and his clone and switch between each character through the touch of a button.

Level Design

Tutorial Level prototype

This is the tutorial level. The player in this level is introduced to the core mechanic of the game and are taught on how to use the mechanic on a basic level. The challenge of this level is for the player to learn how to control the clone and the original character properly to proceed on with the level. Simple obstacles will be presented for the player to learn and execute actions which requires the use of clone and the original character. The challenge is for the player to open the unseen path which connects the top platform to the small middle platform and then open the door which leads to the end of the level.

Level 1 Final

This is the first level of the game. After the player learns the basic controls and have an understanding of how the core mechanic works, he/she is thrown into the first level of the game. The challenge for the player is to reach the end of the level by using the moving platform. Player will need to make use of the clone to activate the pressure plate and switch in order to open up the door and make the platform ascend upward

Level 2 prototype
Level 2 Final

This is the 2nd level of the game. The difficulty of the level will be raised through adding more obstacles and increasing the complexity of the puzzle. In this level, player needs to reach the end of the level through the use of the two moving platforms that are linked to each other. Players need to figure out how to get either the clone or the original character to activate the switch on the top in order to open the path to the end. It can be done by placing one of the character on the right platform first then use
